Mixing and Mastering.
I recorded mixed and mastered a song. It sounds totally fine at the studio and on my computer in Wavelab. So why when i burn it onto CD does it have these crackles that appear at almost random times when played in Windiws media player (and only sometimes crackles in Realplayer). I checked the song a few times over to see where the crackles were, but they arent always at the same places. This baffles me. Also when listening to the CD on Aiwa stereos with headphones i can hear a very fast kinda clicking noise sounding like it is at a constant tempo.

I know it isnt the mastered copy in my harddrive, but what is it?
Anyone had this problem before?

I am one konfused mo fo.

Might be an error with the CD due to whatever program/hardware burned it.

Also, the type of CD might be a cause. Standard CDs intended for mass production are made with extremely low error rates to prevent defects such as the ones you are experiencing.

Cheers man. I found out that the popping was coming from my computer. Cause when i listened to even commercial CDs the popping was still there. But i think it is a CD error/ burning error when i get the slight very fast clicking whir noise on some stereos. Aint that shitty that you go and buy a pack of 100CDs and they dont work on some stereos! The CDs are called "Imation" and they dont work well on "AIWA".
Stick with "Maxell", they dont have any print on the top and are silver side and cost the same price pretty much and work on every stereo i have tried.
