Hey guys,

Couple of quick questions:

1. I have a Marshall Half Stack and was wondering if it is possible to hook my cabinet up to the BR-1200CD for the output?

2. Is there a USB cable that I need to connect the BR-1200CD to my computer? I don't think I have ever seen a cable with USB connectors on both ends.

Thanks,

Hey Tones,

The cable you need is a Standard USB connection cable, it doesn't have a
USB fitting on either end.

As to connecting your half stack up to the Boss unit as your output are you wanting to use this to monitor? Firstly you would have to have a power amp to power your speakers, (unless you are talking about using your Marshall head) but you have to remember that your speakers in your cabinet are mono speakers, (for monitoring they are going to sound harsh very high mid range, not a good practice) if you don't have any monitor speakers your next best bet would be to use headphones for your tracking. Monitor speakers for a good mixdown are essential in giving you a true balance and accurate mix.

Another option is you can run a lead from your headphone jack into your home stereo's amp, volume levels have to be kept to a minimum on your Master level fader to avoid damage to your stereo's speakers. (The BR1600 has two headphone jacks, I'm not sure on the BR1200, if it does, use jack No2.)

Hope this helps!
