Exported a stereo track, one side is the click (fed to me the drummer for this gig) and the other is the dry guitar track. That will be feed via laptop through an interface to a reamp box that will run into my mesa DR half stack.
I'm actually pretty stoked to try this setup. I'm going to use a copy of Reaper because I don't want to gig my cubase dongle.
The obvious drawback is not having a person playing the parts. But some of the pluses that come to mind are:
1. no feedback issues.
2. less noise.
3. the guitar parts are pre recorded and thus perfect.
Anyhow, I'm sure the guitarist will be up to snuff for future stuff. We didn't want to back out of the gig though.
