Hey All...

Its not anywhere near finished but Id kinda like some feedback on this song...i think its my best so far.

Here is the link:

And remember Im only 14 years old recording on crap equipment in my room...dont expect the best.

But Anywho...
I would love any feedback anyone is willing to give me on the begginings of my new song!

New York in the House! :D

I couldn't get to the tune.. The link takes me to a page with no music.. Have a better link?

Hey! You play in the Dave Matthews band? Cool!!-Oh wait...that was just the ad on that page you linked too-from which I couldnt download your song....would like to hear it though.

Oh yeah...and the link's not working...like the post before me said.

Looks like theyve shut that file down, none of the links work, even the one on your index page is down....Tripod has a 0 tolerance for Direct Linking and will delete your account without warning.

Scott,

Somebody else tried to link from Tripod, had the same problem with them.
Do yourself a favor, post it here.-

Just hit the sign up link.

This is the site everyone around here uses, easier than mp3.com.
It's free also.

If you have a problem, just hit the p.m.(private message) button at the bottom of this message and let me know.

Sorry Sam,didn't see you already posted the link,"great minds"!:D

Scott,
Really good sounding recording!
I like the upbeat tempo, and feel.

I think the doubling on your voice is too wide though.
Great start,definatly has potential.
Nice piano playing!

Looking foward to hearing more.

Best to you,
Pete

I think thats a fine job scott. The song has a nice melody to it and the musical hook is working. The only thing I would suggest to do when you record this for real in it's entirety, is to try and match the double vocals up a little better.I usually pan my doubled vocals straight up and down instead of hard right/keft like you did...and I bring the volume of one of the two down to not make it so obvious that it's doubled.......when they're centered together like that and the volume backed off 1 DB or so on one of them, it covers up some of the small misses with the doubled vocals.

You have a good start.Keep at it.;)

Thanks for the suggestions...i will be sure to take your advice and cut back on the hard left right panning.

I do have one question for Kramer, when you say you pan your tracks straight up and down instead of left and right, what do you mean by that? How do you pan them up and down?

Thanks Again,
Scott

Just leave the pan in it's center position "straight up and down"..No left or right......dead center for both vocal tracks.
