Copy frames of VHS tape to a wav file

Folks,

I want to tranfer parts of a VHS tape to a wav file or some frames in order to print them on a color printer, but I don't know how. I know that this is possible because once I read an article describing this.

Do you have any idea about how to do it or what hardware you can use to do it?

TIA for your help.
 
This is not an audio recording thing and has nothing to do with WAV files. You need something like a Snappy to get the video into your computer.
