Yes -- I AM jumping to conclusions.
Massive Master said:Software pirates are common thieves - Worse to a point, as they really don't think they're thieves because "it's just software."

Even though I understand some [SELF-CENSORED] loser came up with a way around that also...
I think there should be a special layer in Hell for software pirates - But there should be a special layer on that special layer for software pirates who are actually ignorant and brazen enough to expect to be spoon-fed answers on how to use their stolen software.
Seriously - Can you imagine a car thief stealing a car and then asking a legitimate car-owner for driving lessons? How about grabbing a gun from someone, pointing it at them and demanding to know how the safety works?

They can all rot as far as I'm concerned...
RockyRhoads said:Wow, such anger and hostility... just so you know, some people "pirate" software because they are unable to afford to buy it. I am not condoning such behavior, but it does happen.
If I buy a program for myself, find it very useful and decide to load it onto my brother's computer so that he can use it as well, do I deserve to go to hell because I didn't pay for another copy? Or am I doing something kind by giving something helpful to my brother?
The whole "software liscense" thing is a scam that was thought up years ago to garuntee that the companies get rich. If you buy a car, do you own the car or do you simply have a right to use it? As such, do you have a right to sell the car you bought? Are you stealing from those who built the car if you sell it?
What about buying software at a garage sale? Is that "pirating" because the software's manufacturer isn't getting paid for it again?
This person asked about the manual. So if anyone wants to give it to him, I feel that they should. I have lost more software discs than I can remember, but the software is still on my machine.
All I'm saying is, if you don't want to give this person the manual that is being asked for, why not just ignore him? Why do so many people on forums feel they have to attack and belittle people they don't even know? Maybe there's a special layer in hell for them?
So they're entitled to it?RockyRhoads said:just so you know, some people "pirate" software because they are unable to afford to buy it.
