Hi all,
I have read several threads about Cool Edit not recording but none seem to have reached a resolution of the problem so I am seeking help anew.
While I haven't explored many of its functions I have used CE Pro 2.1 for several years without incident just recording and editing various audio files. Recently computer problems forced me to reinstall Windows XP. I put CE back on and now it does not seem to record using the same internal source not a microphone source.
I click record and select the default 16 bit waveform. Clicking record it says recording in the lower left corner, the track time line advances but no wave form appears and nothing plays back. I have gone into device properties and selected my on board sound device for wave in so I it should be looking at the right source. Is re-installing my only option left?
Thanks
