Cool Edit 2000 Problem

When I run the clicks and pops or hiss removal features the treated tracks contain annoying pings of different frequencies. I've played around with various settings but without success. I'm using a Toshiba Satellite laptop if thats relevant.
 
Clickfix

I guess I solved my own problem by downloading clickfix by jdklein. Doesn't explain why 2000 was putting the pings in but at least I can make click-free copies.

It's an unregistered copy. That was their way of letting you try the software without providing usefull output
