i have a problem
i have this instrumental song, it's saved as a wma. i wanto convert it to mp3 and i have done this with a free mp3 converter.
but listen to the difference
wma:
Funkymusic.WAV

converted to mp3:

In the mp3 version there is crackled noise with the distorted guitars in the intro and the trompet which isnt in the wma file.
the wma version is also louder.
Is it because the converter was free and they aren't good most of the time
of did i do something wrong with the settings or something?

and what's ogg vorbis, is it better to save the audio file in ogg vorbis and then convert to mp3?

no problem, always glad to help out. :D

I had a similar situation not too long ago.
What I did was burn the WMA to a CDRW disc and rip the CDA file to an MP3 using Audiograbber.;) It worked well.

You can get TuneClone Audio Converter to help you. my friend recommended it to me. it works really nice. it can batch convert wma music files (including protected) to mp3 files with very high quality at very fast speed via virtual cd burning.

  • MelodyCan YouTube Ripper
