Considering Ampeg J12T As Replacement for My Deluxe Reverb SF

Just another guy, really.
My son scored some gear, including a mid-90's Ampeg J12T. Not "the" amp the SF DR is, perhaps, but I am considering it. If I send the DR to New Orleans, he can make some money renting it out on occasion, I get the J12T and eventually my DR back, with a fresh going-over right before I re-take posession. The ampeg seems to have some appeal because:

"Accordion" input is good for blues harp, I have read.

I liked the tone the Reverberocket 212 had (which is also in his NO studio) so this one is intriguing.

Removable baffle may allow me to try the 210 config, if it proves to have the room in the cab.

But... only one input channel. Ahhh, so what? I only ever use the tremolo channel on the DR, anyway.

No switch, foot or otherwise, for the reverb or tremolo. I can just reach over to the amp and freakin' turn it down...

Probably gonna hafta install a speaker jack/plug so I can use my attenuator.

Anybody have A/B experience with the SF Deluxe Reberb and the RI Ampeg Jet J12T? I've read lots of folks having rattling issues with them, but I figure I can just glue/screw it back together if that develops. Any other issues?
