Hey,
I tried to connect my M-AUDIO KEYRIG 25 to Cubase 5 in order to record Synth and Bass Guitar. I followed the steps in a YouTube video:
Cubase 5 tutorial: Midi recording - YouTube
When she wants me to Install Device, my Device doesn't show up and I have to "Define New" Device... This however, she doesn't explain and it turned out being a bit harder than I expected.
Can someone tell me how to do it right?
I managed to Define a new Device, named it M-AUDIO and I didn't check any preferences, I just left it the way it was.
Then I followed her step with creating a MIDI Channel, tested the signal and there WAS signal.
Then I created a Audio Channel and was eager to hear the sound from my Device, but no luck there...
So if anyone knows where I went wrong I'd be SO grateful!
Thanks!
P.S. I installed the Driver from M-AUDIO's website and it should be fine... It shows up (I think) in Device Setup (MIDI Port Setup).
Here is a picture showing my MIDI Port Setup. I believe the M-AUDIO is the top 2 ins and outs right?
