ok, but... what about Audio Technica AT2020 then? better than studio projects B-1?

and... when you guys say B1, you mean SP B-1 right? or Behringer B1?

Yes the AT 2020 is good...worth the money at least. And I'm pretty sure that most mean the SPB1 and NOT the Beri one...

The Studio Projects b1 will have a less muffled sound than the 990... Its a very good mic for the price.. this was recorded with ONLY a sp b1, same mic on vocals and guitar.

Lovely mate... nice to hear the gear in action! whats your audio interface? (Audiophile?)

Could any1 do the same? post som samples and tell the equipment used?

and.. Im thinking of buying one of these: SP B-1 or AT2020 (maybe some samples with the AT?) ;)

Lets say it like that.. the AT2020 is a bit more expensive (but only a few bucks), lets say you got the budget for it... is there a reason not to buy AT and go for SP B-1?

slowjett's sample exactly like the results i get with a b1, except mine always have lots of crappy reflections from an untreated room
slowjett have you ever heard mike park? he runs one of the best diy labels out there, www.asianmanrecords.com , and you sound exactly like him!

Hey thanks guys for the nice replys... I will check out Mike Park.

That was recorded with the b1 about 16 inches out from the guitar, and I sang and played the acoustic at the same time into that 1 track. I also lined out the preamp out of the acoustic to a seperate channel and panned it to one side..

SP B1 -> Presonus Firepod -> Cubase

Thats all, no fancy preamps, in an untreated room in my apartment with the computers going and everything. It was the first thing I recorded with the firepod. I am happy with the resualts.
