Computer to stereo speakers

I'm trying to find the best way to run my sound through your usual style house speakers. I've been looking at used recivers, but everything incorporates a radio tuner and is huge. I just want a small amp that will convert line level out put to speaker level. Just 2 speakers, nothing fancy. Does anyone know of somthing that might work?

Dude depending on your budget you can get a lot.
I got a pair of M-Audio Monitor speakers for $300.00. They have built in amps. They are active monitors.
They are also probably cheaper now.
