wuts up yall ,AM REAL new to all this but i wanna learn,i wanna be a Hip Hop producer i just got into it ,am wonderin wuts a good program(software) to make beats with, a good ONE????

Fruity Loops is pretty good.

What is your setup?
PC or Mac?
Using MIDI or WAV samples?

I don't mean to sound nasty, but,

have you guys noticed that the'se wannabe hip hop guys have absolutely no command of the english language???

The software you want to get your hands on is called fruity loops, it's really really really good (www.fruityloops.com) is costs about $99 and kicks ass for laying down drum beats etc.

The other software I'd recommend, is called ACID and is made by a company called sonicfoundry. (http://www.sonicfoundry.com/products/default.asp) This is a really really really good program, you load samples in, tell the program what speed you want it (it does all the pitch shifting and time stretching for you) and then, all you do is draw how long you want the beats to last.

I did most of my university music reports with it. It kicks ass.

Thats a good start, once you get that up and running, come back here and we'll take you through the next steps.

good luck

LMFAO at ola :D :D

Ola, we have to go drinking some time. :D

Ola makes a really good point, CoMpLeX. The way you posted with all the slang and -- er -- specialized spelling, while it might be a valid way to communicate within the group of people that share your -- er -- specialization, is not standard enough to reach the typical person. So you open yourself up to wiseass comments at least, and also make it hard for somebody to figure out what you are trying to ask, and maybe not bother replying because they have to read it three or more times to figure out the question...

Y'll got dis all wrong, dog! Here in The Magic City we all rappin like dat. Ain't you heard o da Dirty South Sound? Keep it real - yo.

Word up.

I use acid and would recommend it.
Get yourself a good library of wav-files with samples. For example pick up this months issue of "Modern recording" where there is a CD with alot of good drum samples.

I wouldnt recommend streching or pitching in acid though because it often make the sound "flutter"

Then get going!

(Fruity loops is probably good too.. oh well...)
