Just a note to everyone...there is no "making the grade" on the comp cd. We are mostly home recorders, thus the recordings on the comp cd should vary from very amature sounding to pretty professional sounding. That's what makes it so special!

Serious question -

No covers, I understand; but how about public domain / traditional tunes? For instance, Shady Grove is, I believe, up for grabs. Would a tune that can be demonstrated to be in the public domain work, or is that too close to the edge?

I'll check with the guys in my band to see if we they want in. I've been mixing our new CD, but another guys writes most of the material, so I'll see what he says. They're good songs; just not sure yet if I'll do them justice.
