I mixed this with a full blown head cold and blocked eardrums.

Dogman, 60’s Guy, Tim Lawler, & Anfontan.

Come Together March 3 Mix

I'm guessing I shouldn't quit my day job anytime soon. :)
 
Man, dude, I listened to it a few more times, I think its gonna need a lot more work. I actualy like the drum sound, kinda, but, the bass volume fluctuates and theres a few timing issues. Whats your recording chain?

Drums are OK? :cool: Dogman'll be happy to hear that! :)

There are two bass parts. Dogman played the bass part that fluctuates. It wasn't my bass part! :D

Recording chain? Hmmmmmmmm? :confused: Their wave files...my PC.

Amped, thanks for listening! You're right! It's gonna take a lot more work! ;)
 
Randy...I've dinked with this a little, and here's what I have tonight....more to see how your voice, nad Tony's guitars fit with the old rythm. Keys are pretty low right now, and it's a little muddy.

That's cool, Ed! :cool:

You got Tony's guitar bits in there, but you gotta include Tony's vox next in the next mix! What I did before was to combine Tony's vocal with mine, keeping Tony's vocal prominent and leaving my vocal in the background.

It's all good! ;)

This is fun!

We should find another Beatle song to destroy! :D ;)

I'm going to try a mix where tony's voice is prominent for one verse, yours for one, and mine for one.... :eek:

The first guitar lead tracks were sync'd to the rhythm without the drum count-off and they are thrown ahead by a few seconds. If you try a mix with the track Randy has on his mix-which should be track 11, I believe-it should fall into place with the count-off.

This is developing very nicely - the vocals seem more upfront and the harmonies really strengthen it up. The keys are a good addition. The drums sound really good - are they real (Dogman?). The lead is cool but it seems a tad hot - but that may be my PC speakers emphasizing that range. Rest of the mix seems pretty solid. I'll keep checking this out - I'm looking forward to the mix that emphasizes the three vocalists....

I finally got to have listen to this...it has a barroom effects sound...minus the tinkling of glasses and chattering of patrons.... :D

The 'live' sound is my favorite..be it in a garage..basement...out of doors...whatever..I love that sound!

Waiting for the next tweaked version. ;)
 
This is real cool guys, has a cool classic rock live vibe. There's something about the mix that just gives this a different feel, pretty cool. Are the drums distorted too? Some good potential here... then I turn Dogman's new mix on and BOOM, like 3 times louder and total Dogman. Both real cool, nice playing all around. Dig it guys. :cool: :D :cool: :D
 
There have been a few versions of this floating around between here and the New Rep Point Thread. All the versions are great! Kudos to Dogman for starting it! :cool:
