i do love smilies...
hi everyone :)

i've just had some issues with my coloursound wah pedal (was donated by a friend a year or two ago, only just got around to using it.)

anyway, when i use an adaptor to change the 9V battery clip into an attachment for a 9V power supply that i can use on my daisy chain with my other pedals attached, it behaves oddly - there are certain points where it seems to be disconnecting the power to other pedals, and i can't really work out why. i've opened up the coloursound from behind to check the connections on the power - looks like a bit of a bodge job has been done to it at some point, with very untidy connections going to the battery clip - i'm not even sure if it's the original clip, and these connections are loose. but even when i'm holding them firmly in place, and moving the pedal around, or moving the connection between the adaptor and the 9V power supply around, the power connection to the rest of the pedal breaks (i can see very clearly when this is happening, because i have a boss overdrive which defaults to "on" when the power goes on/off.)

i know the first solution is to get those connections strong again, but i'm not convinced that's the issue.

any ideas?

Andrew.

p.s. those magnets didn't work very well - they were effecting the gain pedals in an odd way - the tone was just being sucked out of them. i've taken the magnets out and everythings hunky dorey. lesson learnt :p

sorry to bump this up - but this couldn't be a grounding issue, could it? it's fustrating me that it's working about 60% of the time, and then randomly switching everything off. i love the sound of this pedal, but wouldn't use it live at the moment - and i want to sell my horrible morley! haha.

any ideas?

Ta!

Andrew.
