If any of you guys need hot artists on your album/mixtape/release & serious about it, I'm now kinda in service with it. +4 Production has signed an agreement with Mindset Entertainment, in which allows me to use the services he provides (well collabs part of it) and offer it to others. Basically a partnership for that department. Also I'm not talking about Mindset artists (though collabs with any of them are ok), I'm talking about big name artists. IE: T.I, Lil Flip, Devin The Dude, Bun B, Chamillionaire, Ludacris, Method Man, Redman, etc. I don't have the price sheet with me, but I do know, Devin The Dude is $4200 for half a verse, $8K for a full one, $1500 for a hook, Lil flip is $2k for half a verse, $4k for full verse, and $700 for a hook. I'll get yall a full price list in the next few weeks once I get em all down, and know exactly who I can put out.

Also, I'm kinda at work, and need a contract real quick since right afterwards I have to go sell a few beats. If any of you guys got a leasing contract available for me to print out now that'll be appreciated. Otherwise I can just go home and print one out, but that's a hassle since it's like 30 minutes away from where I gotta be.

Also for news, Lieutenant Mac's album: Mac To The World is making quick progress. After only a month of recording, we laced 5 tracks so far and 1 5.1 mixdown. If any of you guys have a 5.1 surround sound set up, and want to listen to it, holla @ me.

Oh, and Change, I talked to Kevin the other day. I'mma put together an article for a few of us indie artists and throw it into the magazine.

Mindset....make sure u find out whats the lowest they will take, cause some will do it for less....

and search the forum im sure i or someone posted one before(contract)

Yeah, I believe they will do it for less (I know a LOT of Bay artists will), a lot of that cost is getting paid to the company representing them and in this case to you yourself right Set? Don't get me wrong homie, not knocking your hustle and I wish you more success in all endeavors. Just trying to get all the facts on the table and clear up anything that could get misconstrued or misunderstood.

If any of this is incorrect, please correct me.

Yeah no doubt. Thing is, all those artists are under contracts with their respected labels, and many of the times it becomes breach of contract if they start featuring in on just anyones. Some allow it, others don't, so I know that majority of them are spoken directly to the label or management which sets the premiums (which suck usually). Of course, I'll be making money too, so booking say Dude, costs me $x amount less than the dude down the street if he were to get him on it.

Also heard rumors (which probably not so far off) that Big Wheel is tight with lil flip, & costs them a massive $100 dollars to hop on one of their tracks.
HOPEFULLY prices for me would drop a little, but that comes in due time when other big named artists know us better. I know it costed us $25K for Paul Oakenfold to perform for 6 hours in 2000 with our back then DJ Kajmere.

wait wait wait did u just say 25K to perform for 6 hours....... wow I need to make it in this game lol its just that simple...... it's to much money out there for me to be broke.. oh yea

in the electronic music world, he was one of the best.

Just picture it like this homie

6 billion people in the world
minimum of 2 billion people have some income. Out of that say only 100,000,000 like anything remotely hip hop & would spend $10 on a hip hop album. That makes it only a $1 billion dollar industry (we all know that it's more than that). That's $1,000,000,000. Now, to capture the attention of 10,000 people isn't that difficult (say $100,000). To make it half ass decent (100,000) you pull in more money of course. It's not THAT hard to make a name for yourself. If everything is legit, and you have $10K stashed away, that $10K easily can turn into $20K with a blink of a eye. Break it down homie (in simple simple terms) $3K goes to manufacturing a CD (say as an indie artist). Say that gets you 3,000 copies, pressed up and ready to hit stores. Now you can't just go to any store and they will carry your stuff. Before even releasing a product, I suggest mass marketing. So now you have $2K left. NEVER half ass it lol. If your going to do 1 thing, that needs 10 things to make it kinda successful in your eyes, do it all. Anyways, press up 1000 flyer's & posters. You'll still have much money left to do some of the necessary stuff. Now remember, this is all simplified. There's a need for way more money than that. But other than the bill's, that's basically how I started off. Remember... Started off, not finished as, or during... just started off.. You now have 3K worth of CD's and some marketing tools. Now what you do.... Play by play success stores are always somewhat similar. Marketing/Advertising, Products, promotions & networking. What makes me different from say Change? Nothing.
He has product, I have product, he does marketing, I do marketing, he promotes & networks, I promote and network. Regardless of how you get there, in the right mind set, we basically all do the same shit, just different ways. Ok just for kicks, 3000 cd's @ $5 each = $15K right... minus all the crap you spend, and you still make profit. push it to $10 a cd average, and you double that income to $30K blah blah blah blah.

1. Go build your credit up
2. Get $50-100K for your small business, corporation, lemonade stand, whatever it may be.
3. flip it.

Simplified to the extreme.
