it shouldn't matter what platform we use as long as we keep the exact same tempo, and keep it as the same type of wave file from program to program, example (24bits, 48hz).

if it will be on the net it will be mp3 so the bits shouldn't matter as far as web exchange, but it does as far as recording quality. when you convert it to wave from mp3 in your software try to keep the highest bits your soundcard and software will allow.

example, open up soundforge, convert from mp3 to the highest format you will be recording through your software in; for example whatever you record in you will have to convert the file to. if you record in 24bits 44hz, then convert the mp3 you downloaded to 24bits 44hz to avoid any problems, and to also stay consistent.

render the wave file as a 128kbs mp3 before you upload it to the web. this is just my opinion, but you can do you as long as you do it good. if storage on the web is a problem then render your wave files at a lower kb. if anyone has a better idea feel free to jump in.

it's only a problem when it is redundantly posted in more than one forum at the same time period from the same auther, and/or you hit submit/reply
more than once posting the exact post two or more times in the same thread and/or forum. in this case you committed no crime.

yo

i just thought of some ill ish. we can even do our own individual remix of the joint we collab on. every body just needs to put the vocals on the net. we can take it further and sample sample vocals from each team. the possibilities are endless. we just need to get crackin with a deadline. my vote is tuesday night. the beat should be done, friday night the lyrics should be done, and the following tuesday it should be mixed down. what does anyone else think?

Hey Abyyss

I didn't even know you was in the U.K.

Nice ideas.

I agree we need to set deadlines, but I'm thinkin' maybe fairly long ones, just so we get the best possible shit. Maybe we could have shorter deadlines for meeting up to explain progress, confer, keeping a tad on how we're doing or maybe for smaller things, etc.

if the majority agrees to a longer deadline that it'll be cool by me. i'm just lookin at it from a professional standpoint. you have to be able to work under pressure. everyone is only responsible for 16 bars and a piece of the beat individually and the hook collectively. thank of those cats like beans, jadakiss, nas, jayz, camron. they hear someone talkin about them on the radio then they have a half an album ready in 1 week, not to mention it's spinning on the radio as soon as it's mastered. i know that practice makes perfect, and time is perfection, but when you can produce hitz in no time flat you are good. if you put out a cd and it's not pumpin, you have to be able to shake it off and hit the lab again. if you were responsible for a whole song i could understand where you are coming from a lot better.

i'm not trying to be a dyck, i'm just trying to get it poppin, then it's off to the next project. i don't want to put out any garbage, but then i don't want to lose focus either. i'm interested in doing it either way, i'm just trying to keep it interesting and moving

As is yours

I completely understand. We'll have to see what everyone thinks then we can get this thing organised. I will definately lay down vocals, though due to my poor set-up it is likely I won't be able to be responsible for a whole part of the beat alone (though I'll do what my equipment allows me), I'll probably need some help, feel me?

Once everyone knows what's going on then I'm ready to feast on the creativity.

Maybe we could meet a compromise, depending on how every1 best works?

yo abyss

just doing your verse should be enough. i know nick and flossy will be dying to lace as much of the beat as they can, trust me. just come with a hot verse. the sooner the melody then hook or hook then melody is set we can get it jumpin.

yo

abyss you are a dedicated member, did you know you can get a customize avatar? some people don't care for em. i just think they add a little personality to the virtual environment.

Aight, I'll start now. 16 bars is it?

93 bpm?

'Coz I need 2 write it in time (u know how it is).

Any particular subject in mind?

I'll start playing around with chorus ideas too (we are having voacls on the chorus, aren't we?)
