Hey guys I have just started recording some guitar riffs trying to get some ideas down. Well I finally recorded to a click track with the hopes of starting to put some midi drums down to it. I ran a mic'd i-5 straight into my digi 002 rack. I should say it was never clipping and I made sure that it wasn't a real hot signal just to make sure. So everything sounded good. I was very happy with the amp sound, and the sound coming out of pro tools. However, when I bounced to disk so that I could send a .wav file to my friend, it sounded awful. I then eq'd all four guitar tracks and took a lot of the low end out and it helped but when I palm muted it still gave an almost bounce sounding sound (if that makes sense). So my question is, what the hell am i doing wrong? The amp also did not have a very high bass settin either. So any suggestions would help. Thanks guys.
