My first task would be to uninstall the current M-A drivers (restore the PC to before you had it if possible but in anycase run Revouninstaller and Ccleaner several times on the Registry).
Then make dead, bang sure you have the correct drivers and go for it, following the procedure to the letter. Usually you install drivers without the AI connected then connect when told.
I would also disable OnBoardSound, in BIOS if possible, before driver install. If all that fails you have a hardware problem.
