Reluctant Commander
The only fx in this mix are a bit of compressor on the bass, and a bit of reverb on the sax. Everything else is "as is." Catchy tune I guess, but seems to be missing something.....:eatpopcorn:

A Flat Tire

It's missing vocals. :laughings:

Sounds good and well balanced to me. Sax maybe a little too loud. It jumps in and out. I've never compressed a sax, so maybe that's what it needs, maybe not. If this really is just raw tracks panned around, then you did a great job capturing everything.

What G said. I think it's cuz the sax is a front-and-center obvious lead part, commanding your attention. During the other non-sax parts, the keys/guitar kinda sorta take the lead, but they're a lot quieter, set back in the mix. The keys/guit parts sound like background music in a lounge - I can have a drink and chill and talk to my buds. The sax part sounds like something I should be watching and paying attention to. The sax has more of a shrill freq response too, the keys and guits have a smooth sound to em, so that may contribute as well. I'm impressed with the drum sounds, esp. for being unprocessed except the panning and I assume a little eq? Overall I think it's pretty good, nice job!

Love that funky sound. Great jam, definitely. Sounds like it would be really fun to play and that always makes for great music.

I thought it sounded real good. Good playing all around. Everything sounded nice.

The sax sounded like it was in a different place than everything else. It sounded dryer to me.

Everything else was great. Really liked the bass part.

Nice growley bass. The sax appear quite up-front when it comes in, but a nice natural sound. Funky Jazzy chilled, very nice.

I liked it man and yeah..the sax jumps out at you here...very cool.
You really should spend some more time on this with effects and compression.....
uber funkidocious....

Good melocic interplay between the bass and sax. I want to be able to visualize a live band playing your tune so maybe the drums and bass should breath more up front

Excellent playing - top shelf stuff. The sax is a wee bit loud in my opinion but overal I was blown away...:D

Levels need slight tightening, but you're in the right neighborhood w/ everything. Most of what I'd change is some of the panning schemes (I like high keys to the right, lows to the left -- that sort of thing) -- but it's a total personal preference thing.
