Interesting. Long intro but when the vocals finally come in it sounds good. Before that it's kind of impersonal and distant for too long IMO. The piano sounds far away, and that's not a bad thing, but its tone is a little unclear. I like the tremolo effect on the gtr near the end. I think most of the arrangement's interest comes later in the song. Maybe if it came earlier it would capture the listener's interest more.

the rain doesn't sound very good.. it just sounds like a faucet running. and the drums almost sound fake. BUT!!!!!!!..........

i think you'd like the band "deluge".. this song reminds me so much of the songs they had on a split cd with fordirelifesake. they also have an older cd called "spot in the shadow" which is really really really fucking good.

has a song from that fdls split. their older stuff is much more distorted bass nutso chaotic and has a lot more piano rocking through the entire song.

heres the little story behind the tune, which would explain what u guys are talking about. i picked up 2 b1's and wanted to test em out but i didnt have any instruments but piano at my place, so i wrote a little tune on piano and had to record it from the floor above, because i didnt feel like movin my computer. so yeah, the piano IS actually very far away. then, after almost 2 months of not having my drums to play, i finally brought them home, and then had half an hour to set em up and test out my new mics so i just placed them as overheads and recorded somethign super quick, which would be why they dont sound great, but i was impressed considering how little effort was needed to get them to sound like they do.

a little sidenote - i dont know much, but from what ive seen spb1's are f**king awesome, and cheap.

also, when writing tunes ive noticed i ALWAYS have long intros, i dont know why. next time i'll try to write one that quickly kicks into the verse.
and that deluge shit was good. usually people tell u "oh u'd like this band" and the band sucks, but they were sweet. i'll definitely be lookin into them.

anyways, thanks for the feedback
