hey,
after my tascam 388 finally died im looking at going digi.
i know NOTHING about digi recording, nad have been looking a steinberg ci2.
it seems easy and cheap for me to get to grips with recording onto a pc.
just want to know if its any good for a noob , and if there are any cons with this unit.

A quick squiz reveals it would be a pretty good introduction for the noob. Simple no fuss recording protocol.

Maybe shoot the manufacturer an email and ask if the unit is locked to the software that comes with. Would be a bummer if you like the interface but find out down the track you want to use another DAW.
