Hmm... I'm listening to The Ticket Taker right now, I already listened to I cant do better, so I'll comment on that for now while I listen.
First things first, some of it was off tune, and your vocals skipped. But, over-all your vocals are fairly well. I noticed you went back over and recorded your voice on some of the lyrics, twice, to make it sound better. Great idea, I've done it once or twice. But the fact of the matter is, you were off on a lot of them. Like you would say.. "I can't" "I can't" do better, which the reason I said that twice, is because it almost sounded like an echo, but an out of place echo at that. I recommend re-doing the vocals there, and if it was someone else singing along with you to do
the dual vocal, make sure he is in tune and says the same words at the same time you do, so it sounds in tune and a lot better.
I'm listening to The ticket taker, as I said above. I'm not into this one as much as I was the other one, this ones a little bit too slow, I liked the upbeat of the other one. Too many long notes in your vocals on this one. The guitar playing is very good, keep that up, that's really good. I can't understand the lyrics enough to memorize them and see if they are any good, but from what I can tell over both of the songs, they are decently done. 100% better than anything I've ever recorded of "singing" like that. Are you recording the guitar, and the vocals separate? Or are you recording them at the same time, because I know that's really hard to do. But from the sounds of it, you're doing them separate, because I can tell that you're not getting out of breath while playing the guitar, in your vocals. Which happens alot, when playing the guitar and singing at the same time, since you're constantly moving. But, if you are playing them both at the same time, mad props, that's tough to do.
Never the less, the recordings are pretty good, I liked them for the most part. But, like I said, that's my advice up there, take some time and re-do them if need be. I'd like to hear them again, they are very good. You have a great voice, needs some work, but it's really good. You could go somewhere with this.
Hope this helps.
