What will you do with the extra MF stupid deal stuff?

Looks like. I'm at work on the computer every day when it changes so I can't resist. There has been a couple REALLY good deals on there that sold out before I checked them, back before I checked at the right time.

they sold a Gibson les paul studio baritone for $599.

The CAD/Astatic/Omnitronic condenser's from a few days ago were a good deal at 1/4 of the original selling price.

Even that baritone ibanez was a good deal if you gave a shit about it, which I couldn't. Any other prices I found online were triple the deal price.

The thing is, every day, they lower a price below market selling price, which means that whatever the deal of the day is, it's cheaper on MF than anywhere else new (usually).

I wish I could have gotten 4-5 of those gibsons, but I missed the sale :( That was a BIG discount, since they sell for $1200 usually.

It is crappy, though, when the deals are good, but not good for reselling and we don't need them...
 
well i hope they don't do a stupid deal on a really good 5 string bass anytime soon, cuz then i'd be forced to buy it and i don't have that kinda money right now!
 
Actually, the deal on the bass is good. Can't find it under $500 online... I do NOT want a 4 string bass with a whammy bar, though...

As a side note, does anyone know a good place to get a deal on a laptop? I've been spending too much time looking at music deals, so I'm not up on the laptop market...
 
i always check out newegg.com for computer stuff...they actually have some pretty good "deals" there too that change often, like free stuff when you buy certain items. i normally buy parts and accessories from there though, so i dunno how good their actualy laptop prices are. but their prices for cables and stuff like that are insane!

i got my new digital camera for $212 with a free 2GB memory card at newegg. i still see the same camera in stores around here for $249 with no memory card included (except the 16MB stock card). and the same 2GB memory card i got for free is $70 in stores.

I use newegg as well. Sometimes they are $1-$5 more on a few items, but the deals, service, shipping, etc all make newegg a good place for ordering a handful of parts for pc upgrading/building.

I just don't look at laptop prices online, so I don't know if newegg's deals are good. From the little I have looked at, it seems that laptop prices are dropping pretty quick right now since dual cores are getting popular.

Edit: I ordered a bunch of parts to build a PC last fall, and the price still hasn't changed on the shopping cart full of what I ordered :).

I'm going to say this just because I didn't fully realize it until just today. When you click on the different tabs for different sections (i.e. guitar, bass, live, etc.) the page that is brought up will show you current sales/special prices for that group, sometimes one day deals. Scroll down a bit to see the whole list...

I know it's stupid, but it took me.... .... a long time to realize that, so I'm thinking someone else may have missed it as well...
 
M-Audio Audio Buddy for $60...i dunno if that's a good deal or not, but the last thing i need is "the best preamp for recording ____ for under $100"

The Art Tube MP Studio is still 29.95... You could just get 2 of those and be better off... Since I already did that this is a useless deal...

Still, a dual DI box is convenient if you need a double. I don't, though, that's what my mixer is for :)

Except that it isn't the best. Not by a long shot. The Peavey PV6 mixer is under $100 and provides four pres that are higher quality than any M-Audio pres I've heard, and it provides a full 48v for phantom power.... :D

A good price on a bad product is still not a good deal....

well i'm still awake, talking to some chick on the phone...so i guess i'll stick around the extra 15 minutes or so.

For me it's about 12:10 - 12:15am that it switches. I'm on the west coast.
