at least it appears to be a pretty deep discount. but hey we can't expect ALL of the stupid deals to be good, haha.
 
Actually that's a very good price on that guitar... Too bad they aren't popular or I'd buy a few to resell... Definitely don't need one, that's for sure.

Just got the mics from MF. Seems to be a well built mic. I'll give them a try over the weekend. Looking at the paperwork that came with the mics they are from a parent company called Omnitronics. When I went to their site this is the home page I found

So yes, it must the same mic with a different name

Holy crap. That's the company that my friend has a wholesaler's license for... I don't think his prices are nearly as good as the deal for those mics, though. I still haven't gotten the ones I ordered because of stupid APO overseas shipping delays... Let us know how it works!

I also got the Art Tube MP Studio from a stupid deal at MF, and it seems to be a pretty good tool. The 'distortion' isn't that great since it dies off completely at the higher frequencies, but it sounds pretty nifty when adding just a slight edge to vocals. Worth keeping around at least.

Interesting link. Astatic and CAD and Omnitronics all have the same contact phone and address, so it looks like Omnitronics is the parent company. So the stupid deal was for Astatic mics, so maybe MF called them CAD to get some name brand recognition, and they come from the same parent company. The specs look decent. I'm curious to see how they sound and how they compare to something like the MXL 603s.
 
looks like today we get a crappy mic and some crappy headphones in a crappy bundle.
 
so are we like the only 2 people who are here when the Stupid Deal changes over? haha
