hi guys. I am posting a song for the first time (the song I posted on the Dragon Cave isn't mine).

Anyways, this one was recorded by my group 2 years ago. I was thinking about remixing/retrack it, but first I want you to give me your opinions on the tune, how it was recorded, and any changes/tips.

You can download it from here .

It was recorded in a pro-studio here in Buenos Aires, but my plan is to record something new with the group with my Protools/Digi 001 stuff. So it's not only an opinion about this track, but also on our sound.

Thanks for any help
Cheers, Andrés

A fun sounding song, even if I cant understand the lyrics. I think the recording of this one sound ok. Why don't you write something new to record instead of re-doing this one again.

Not my style of music... but sounded fine. Is that the Beatles "Twist and Shout" influence right after the interlude section and at the end? I wanted to hear everyone just start screaming at the end of those parts, lol. Nice job, and definitely sounds like you were having fun.

Great that it sounds fun. We have a lot of fun when we play it live.

The lyrics are no Nobel Prize, as you surely have guessed. The title is "Buena Vida", which means Good Life, and it talks about what are the things that we want for a Good Life, like skiing Cenidor (a well-known ski track here).

Cheers, to everybody and thanks for the comments.
If you have more please send them.

I can't friggin download it.

All I gets is a blank page.

Got It!...Good Day Indeed!!!

This is a great pop song in my book.

And being a fellow Argentinian (I lived in Accasuso)
I thought the lyrics were really good, very well delivered!

This song reminded me a bit of The Mavericks, one of my favorite bands.

The only negative I have is the horns, which I know are a synth, but I just can't get used to synth horns, that's all.

I would love for you to record one of my songs in Spanish.
I could send you the song/lyrics in English, or re-do a couple in Espanol for you to record.

I think your stuff & my stuff are a match made, amigo!

Post some more of your stuff soon, will ya?

Espere que usted los individuos lo golpeara grande!

Negociemos ideas de la música y el expediente pronto!

glad the link worked!

and glad you liked the song too.

I don't like the horns either, although it is just a horn. It was a trumpet player who brought this stupid whammy-kinda pedal, and he transposed himself up and down live, and with some harmonies. The sampling capabilities of the poor thing were not enough to handle the job decently. Besides, they were recorded to another session and in another, and two years earlier the final tracking.

One thing that bugs me a little is the snare sound, it's sorta "short", if you know what I mean.

You were born here in Argentina or lived here? I went near Acasuso just yesterday, near the Unicenter Shopping. You know around there?

Do you have your music online, I want to hear it!

Cheers, Andrés
