Just another guy, really.
Crown Audio CM 700's- $150 to $200 each...

SM57's- $40 to $70 each...

A Beta 58A, Beta 57A, Beta 58 and Beta 57- $65 each.

Seem pretty good to me, what does the forum say?

Nothing's a bargain if you don't need it--no matter how cheap. But if you don't have any 57's--you can't go wrong at those prices.

*shrugs*

Seems a little pricey for a hammer, but....

:D

I am more unsure about the Crown CM700's.

If there is enough interest, I can buy them and resell what I don't need here, somewhere in the price ranges posted in my original post...

the crown is a great mic... dont know if that's fair market value though...

The Crown gets mixed reviews, with some saying that its highs are somewhat spitty. I've never tried one. At the very least, the capsule ought to be better than the craptastic stuff that most of the low-end manufacturers are selling, though you might decide you want to recap the electronics to clean up the high end.

So the GB mics are "Lightly-Used?"

...sorry, after reading the thread title I couldn't help myself. :p

The beta 58 is a great live performance vocal mic. You don't have constantly swallow the mic for it to pick up your voice. It does a great job as long as you're within a foot to 1 1/2 feet. Worth having one if you're doing any live shows.
