Challenge: Write a song/instrumental everyday - Day 1

I was told to become better at songwriting, it helps to write a song everyday. So here's my first instrumental (snippet) after deciding to take up this challenge!

 
I'd argue that it's better to practice the craft every day, not necessarily to output a finished work every day. You might end up with a mighty back catalogue of turkeys, but no eagles...
 
Ahh I see where you come from! But the way my friend put it was that if you write enough (with enough care and dedication of course) you will end up with a lot of songs you won't like, but a lot more good ones than you would have without writing this much. :D
 
I thought it was pretty cool - and the thought behind the challenge makes sense. Even if you output some garbage, but write regularly, there are bound to be some choice nuggets in the collection.
Myself, I've written about 2 1/2 songs this year, so I'm no speed demon.
 
I think it is a good idea, save all your songs then after say a month or 2 listen back to all 60 songs and see if you can hear yourself getting better as a song writer.

No vocals yet? boo :)
 
There's bound to be one or two good ones after a month. This should be in the songwriting forum.
