CD Player to Hafler?

A silly question:

Would it work to run a consumer grade Sony CD player to my Hafler TA1100?

Right now I play back through my TASCAM US-428>Hafler>Tannoy ProJs. I just have an extra CD player, and I was wondering if it would work to run a cd player through the amp to have a way to play a reference CD.

Will I blow it up? Any way to route both the US-428 AND a CD player to the Hafler?

A mixer. A line mixer at the very least.

So to route both, I would need a mixer, but would a CD player work plugged directly in to the Hafler? Is an amp just an amp in this case?

If the CD player is line level and you go into the amp's line level in, it'll work - HOWEVER it's going to work at the amps maximum volume at any given level.
