"Time to get a new accountant re. the "50% tax on biz...." No idea what that's supposed to mean. How about ship them out yourself? But then you need a website with secure shopping/CC processing/etc....

gee, thanks for nothin

Put your eggs every where. If they can sell CDs for you, great. That's more money for you and sales you would have otherwise not gotten.

tthe only complaint I have is how long it's taking to get an album online..they recieved it like 3 weeks ago, and have the cover scanned in, I got a comfirmation for them to send it off to digital distribution, but it still says that it's pending. I'm so impatient haha.

Time is money.

can I sell my mixtapes up there also or they have to be albums?

I am about to launch a double CD that will be distributed world wide and I am not doing it for the money. As you've all already mentioned, there isn't money to make. The best reason for launching a CD is for promotion. If you're lucky, you might make money directly off the cd.

You promote yourself so when you perform live, you actually have a crowd. You promote your website, friends, etc... these are the few advantages of a cd.

Do you see any other upsides to selling a cd (other than the money)?

Setting songs up for online distribution is a long, hard process. Most likely CDBaby has already sent your songs to the outlets u selected. However, it takes time to give each of your songs unique ID codes and convert them to the proper format. Keep in mind, companies like iTunes have to handle millions of songs per day. Expect it to take AT LEAST 3 months before your stuff appears on ANY digi-distribution site. And even after that, your income is reported on a monthly basis so add a 4th month before u even know if you've benifited from it...

I guess it's massively worth it tho! I'm really happy with my CDbaby service so far...
