Sure man....

What's the pet drama? All of our pets are lost or abandoned ones...

Well, to make a long story somewhat short, an all white cat with what used to be very long hair but now has dreadlocks wandered into my backyard. It had a collar with a phone number and a medical message saying the cat was deaf. He needed mild medical attention, and a good cleaning, but Cheeto was licking his chops wanting to pounce on him. The local animal care 'no-kill' shelter closed at 8. I got there at 8:01 and the bitch govt. worker was giving me a fit, but I made her take the kitty.

Someone is heartbroken because their cat is missing, and has been missing for weeks, or more. Hopefully they'll call me back. We left a voicemail message for them.

Thanks, Dogman.

Oooooh. So Dogman tells you that he hates you and to fuck off, and you thank him. Now I see how you are. You just require more abuse than most. I'll work on that.

Al(most al)l kidding aside, it's a great tune.

You're in cahoots with my girl, aren't you? :D

The white cats owner called the house after I went to sleep. My girl told him where the cat was. He was stoked.

Very good. (I listened to 'Catch My Recovery')

I absolutely hear Mr. Walsh in there--the vox, the tones, and the whole feel and arrangement. I dig Joe, and so, I dig this too.

Vox are great. They have that 'cool, laid-back dude' sound.

I listened on headphones also, but I think the snare could sound better. It's hard to say what might be wrong with it--maybe the wrong frequencies are too prominent (???). Also it seems to 'quick' of a snap--not enough 'after-the-impact-snare-rattling-sound', if you follow me.

Good job. If I weren't on dial-up, I'd listen to some of the others as well. But lunch is over now, back to work.

Recovery: Gtrs and bass sound great. You've been ragged on enough about the drums. Vocal could be a little fuller in the low mids. Good song and ballsy performance.

Sweet...you're a good dude, Willis....

Listening at home now, and then gonna grab your other file.

Wanna email me a 320K file?

I'm listening to your wma file....it might sound a bit cleaner in the cymbal area, and high end of the vocals. Both the mp3 and wma play through winamp, so I'm guessing it's the bitrate...the wma is 192, and the mp3 is 128. The 192 is way better...less wash in the cymbal area, and the vocals seem a bit cleaner. The highs have a cleaner sound.

For this tune, I don't mind the drums. The snare could have more depth if you want to fill the sound spectrum out, but having just a good snap fits the tune. I don't know how to get that snap, and have depth yet. Rami seems to get a crisp pop, and also alot of depth on his snare. Maybe more compression...but I don't know.

I don't think the song really suffers from Soundclick compression, but getting info from listeners to help tou mix, the higher bitrate eliminates the compression from the equation....

Post a higher bitrate so we can hear the overall sound better. Your bass tone seems cool, and it has some killer notes in it.

PM me if you want to post a higher quality mix. I'll host it, or you could use Gunnars site.

Thanks, D! That was exactly what I was looking for.

I'll PM you.

EZ......I don't know who you really are...But I love and sometimes hate your online persona....

Having spewed that out...I have to say that I have heard 3 tunes of yours, and you somehow manage to be one of my Top-5 favorite HR artists. I love every note, lyric, and beat of everything I've heard you do. You manage to do what most of us strive for.....You put across the exact vibe you wanted to.

Total respect, my friend.
