Hey guys, my Tascam 488 finally broke and I am torn. Should I go digital or get another. I still have like 15 90 minute Maxell XLIIs (the best cassette in the world). Here is one of my favorite things I did on that old machine. All instruments/vocals are me. Critiques/opinions welcome.

Man, you've obviously got a knack for this stuff. The mix is solid, and your playing/singing has good character.

IMO, you have gotten about as much out of the cassette multitrack medium as you're going to. Moving on to digital will give you a substantial step-up in fidelity that you seem ready for.

I'm sure if you list them in the "For Sale" section of this board, somebody will happily take those XLIIs off your hands. :D

Good luck.
