Hello, everyone. Here's the first mix of my Safe and Sound cover. I'm still waiting for my vocalist to record, but the instrumentals are fairly complete. Let me know what sounds good, what sounds bad, and what needs to be tweaked!

Hi,
I think the guitars and synths kinda find their place once the vocals come in, but during the intro they sound a bit thin to me.
I'm not getting a lot of bass if I'm honest, but I know that's the weak spot of my monitoring setup, so don't take my word for it.

There's the odd timing flub like 1:17 guitars, 1:46-1:50 drums.

Sometimes the drums feel like they're doing more than is necessary, in a distracting kind of way.
Are there simultaneous kick/snare beats that stand out? That might be it.

Vocals are well placed. Everything's good and clear without overpowering.

Personally I'd pull the section at 2:00 back a lot more.
Those guitars feel a little relentless to me, but that sections lends itself to losing them, IMO.

Sounds awfully critical! :eek:
