It's a combination between the greatest Austrian (Or man?) who ever lived, my last name and the way that American's would always write my last name on letters.

He has made some great movies. I like the ones where he kills people.

Hey man, thanks for sharing. Quite a chaotic track you've got here. Vocals are nice and clear, which is good. Some thoughts:

-Overheads are too loud, and the whole kit feels a little out of balance.

-Kick is cutting through, which is great, but there's something in it I don't like. Maybe some low mid frequency? It sounds punchy and boxy at the same time, which is strange. It could probably drop back 1db or so, too.

-Bass guitar is very difficult to detect. I would try to shelf up 120hz and below by a few db, and maybe cut some of the low mids. I can hear the top end of the bass, which is good. But the low beefy stuff just isn't there.

Keep at it!

Oh yeah. No shortage of chaos over here! :)

By "out of balance", do you mean I don't have the kick and the snare in the middle of the overheads?

I EQ the hell out of my kick, and I have some compression on it. I take -9 from 250Hz, so I'm not sure if it's low-mids you're hearing. I practically have a bedspread inside it against the batter head to give me a quick thud sound, maybe that's why I need all the EQ to get any punch out of it.

I know nothing about EQing bass. I didn't know you were supposed to cut any of it. I'll do some research and see what I can do.

Thanks for the comments and time.

You gotta play tighter. Take drugs if you have to. But play tighter.

Drugs would be great, but I did the next best thing and tried using a metronome (just recently- not for Can't Say). Like every decision that takes me over a year to make that should have taken me seconds, it was the right thing to do. Didn't turn me into Keith Moon, but it might have turned me into a poor man's Ringo (if Ringo is the one who sucks). I just finished the song, I'll post it.

Your mixes are getting progressively better however! With the third one I listened to, the mix sounded good, but it sounded like the bit-rate for the mp3 you uploaded must've been on the low side.

Very tight and direct, which is what you are going for, so you have done well.

My personal mix taste would like you to try to fill out your sound a bit more, especially the top end. I can hear you have played with the panning of the guitars, but the overall impression is so direct it is almost mono.
