Hi,

I'm having trouble using my headphones as monitors with the Saffire Pro 14 and Cubase 6. They've worked fine with other DAWs (such as FL Studio), but I can't seem to set them up correctly in Cubase.

Settings:

[VST Audio System]:
ASIO Driver - ASIO Saffire

[MIDI Port Setup]:
DirectMusic In: Pro14 MIDI (Active, box checked) (In All MIDI, box checked)
DirectMusic Out: Pro14 MIDI (Active, box checked)
Windows MIDI Out: Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth (Inactive, box unchecked)

[VST System Link]:
ASIO Input - Not Connected (Question: various left and right stereo connections are listed (IP1-4, SPDIF L & R, Loop 1 & 2), but no MIDI. Is this normal? Not sure which, if any, I should select.)
ASIO Output - Line Out 3 (L) (In the Saffire Mixer, I have all my outputs mapped to DAW 1 & 2, including headphones, as a guide recommended. Why is there no stereo option available here? Again, no sound coming from the headphones on playback.)

Saffire MixControl: (HEADPHONES) DAW 1 --> Line Output 3; DAW 2 --> Line Output 4

I've ticked the Monitor button in the MIDI track so that it's orange, and when I play through the keyboard I can see it registering (the blue bar next to the track moves), but there's no sound coming through the headphones. Same with Beat Designer, which I set up while watching the video tutorial.

Ideas? I plan to use the headphones exclusively (no speakers), and until I can get this working I'm dead in the water.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure your master bus and/or control room outputs in Cubase are mapped to Line out 3 & 4.
I map my master bus out to line out 3 & 4 and my control room outputs to line out 1 & 2.

I have the same problem with this, except I get no audio playback after I render the audio into a wave file.

Both audio/midi playback on headphone is fine, I have it route to 3/4 in the mixcontrol.

I get no audio when rendering. It's blank. Nothing.

Anyway to fix this?

Nvm got it working!

Make sure when rendering the left channel selection must be set to audio. I had mine set to stereo out.

Hmm that's weird. Stereo out IS the correct way, but I wasn't able to hear any audio the first time.

Anyway, got it working now!
