I was just responding to another post where someone asked about the MXL v67 and the 603. I told him you could get both for around $170 (getting the Mars version of the v67) then went to find them online to provide links. I can't find either one! The Mars website does not list ANY version of the v67 anymore. My quick search for the 603 only came up with the bundle with the MXL2001 - I could not find it sold separately anywhere.

Does anyone know the scoop on these mics? Where can folks get them?

That's why I asked in the other thread - Mars doesn't list them anymore on the website (thought rumor had it some stores had them in stock a month or so ago) and the cheapest I've seen them is at 8th street - $80 (603s) and $180 (V67G) for a total of $260. But they give free shipping for orders over $190.

Not asking for myself - I already got mine at Mars. :)

Wonder why they discontinued such a great mic like the v67. I guess they don't read this BBS.

Glad I got mine when I did.

:D

The v67 isn't discontinued.

The Mars version of the v67, the v67M is discontinued. That's why it was selling for so cheap - they were trying to get rid of all their stock.

so then where can people get a V67G? I haven't seen them anywhere in a while.

Shreve Audio lists the microphone with colors: Black, Silver, and Green/Gold

Perhaps you can order any of the colors through them. This is the only site I've ever found to show a picture of all colors in the v67 line. And I've never seen the silver one anywhere.

yeah, but where can you get them cheap? $180 seems like a price increase fromwhere they used to be...

I got a v67m like a week before Mars stopped selling them...
With what seems like higher prices on the normal v67's, you gotta wonder if maybe the Marshall people are reading the forums.

Actually, the V67g has always been higher priced, even though they are the same mic internally. I was able to get a price match from sam ash on the g for $105 shipped, but it took a lot of time (in which I got impatient and bought the m from mars.) I have never seen the V67s though, which is listed as the silver edition. I wonder wht the price is on that?
