Can't Connect to OmniStudio USB!

I am running Mac OS 10.2.8 on an iBook, and have installed the OS 10.1.5 or higher drive for M-Audio OmniStudio since I tried to download the drive that was tested on 10.2.8 but that didn't work, it wouldn't mount for some reason. I go to System Preferences>Other>M-Audio OmniStudio USB and when I click that it says, "Unable to connect to M-Audio OmniStudio USB. Is it on?" It is on, and it is plugged into my iBook via USB. Anyone have any ideas what I could do to fix this?

hmph, you have you tried restarting? or putting it in another USB?

That is what it looks like in the System Preferences that I said earlier.

Thanks for the suggestions. I have tried restarting. I will restart my computer right now and try to use another USB cable. The one I am using now is the one that came with the OmniStudio.
