Hi,

I was wondering if anyone on this forum has had experience with the Cobalt XLR cables and/or the Canare Star Quad L-4E6S Cable (the Lava Cable Microphone Cable in this specific instance). I've read lots of great things about the Cobalt cables (ex. http://neuroscience.com/volume_12_2/cobalt-av-cables-5-2005.html and http://www.audioholics.com/techtips/audioprinciples/interconnects/SpeakerCableFaceoff.htm), however, they are also about twice as much as the Lava Cables. I do however have a 15% discount coupon for the Cobalt cables. I also have purchased the Lava Cable guitar/instrument TRS cables before, and I do think they are a really good bargain and quite a performer for the money.

I will be working with distances of about 10-15 feet with the mic cables. Any previous owners with suggestions or advice? The important things for me in a cable are clarity, detail, and low noise.

If you need more info on the specific cables I'm talking about:

Cobalt XLR Balanced Cable:
Lava Cable Microphone Cable: (scroll down a bit) http://www.lavacable.com/purchase.htm

Thanks,
Ron
