Can my Focus rite saffire 6 usb work with pro tools?

Firstly your question would have been answered very quickly if you'd read the FAQ sticky in this forum. Alternatively searching anywhere using google.

Secondly no, your sapphire will not work with Pro Tools. Only Digidesign or M-Audio interfaces will work with the relevant version of Pro Tools.

Or other compatible thirdparty interfaces with special drivers. Read more about it on Avid.com.

Please provide a link, I can't find the info to which you are referring on the site at all...
 
Sorry. I'll take that back. I can neither find anything at the avid site about it. I see what you mean. I think I remember that I read something about thirdparty hardware at the avid site for some months ago, without can be 100% sure.

In this site is a link to driver update for a Onyx mixer(from Mackie) To be a compatible interface with M-powered. Think I have seen other brands as well have the same thing. The new Avid site is a mess, after my opinion.. Really thought it did stand something clear about it there..:o

This isn't official and isn't supported. AFAIK Mackie is the only such manufacturer to do this, and it's only with the one interface.

They have reverse engineered the drivers and interfaces, and it's debatable whether or not it is legal.
 
Ok. Sorry bout that. Just mean to remember that I saw at least one or two other manufactors that had M-Powered compatible drivers (downloaded from Digidesign's site or the manufactor). Just got it wrong then. Sorry for the confusion it might have caused.
 
What program do you think is good for mixing vocals?

Adobe audition vs cubase vs pro tools it self. Might as well ask this in here instead of making a new section.
