Hey, guys. Does anyone know if it's possible to set multiple punch-in points in Sonar 2.0 XL ? I need to fix a lead guitar track that I messed up in three places. The problem is, it's one of those leads that you just play better all at once. I would like to be able to set all three punch-in points, and fix 'em all in one pass as opposed to doing each part individually. I don't see anything in the manual, but I wondered if any of you tech-heads ever ran into this and maybe came up with a work-around. Thanks.

i'd just create a new track, play it again and make a comp out of the two tracks.g

go in and delete the parts out of the solo that you don't want........then arm the same track again, and you can basically record over it.........

Powderfinger, how does that work then? I can only see that it is possible to have one punch in at a time. Unless I'm missing something here?

What I do in these circumstances is to record the whole piece again in a new track and then split the new lead guitar track where I need to and then slide the new bits accross to relace the old inaccurate recording. You dont have to play the whole track if you dont wish to, just the relevent sections that you need to relace the original track.

Paul, that's what I'm alluding to.

I agree, I don't know of any way to punch multiple sections of a track either. I think Paul has the right idea.

Sorry trackRat, I didn't read your post properly. Too early in the morning my time:rolleyes:

Thanks, guys. I used Paul's method, and got it taken care of. I do think that multiple punch-in points would be a nice feature for a future update. Thanks again.

In wavelab, when you drop in a marker, you can define what kind of marker it is, i.e. start loop, stop loop, region start, region stop etc. The same could be done in Sonar. Good suggestion.
