Hi, guys.
I've got a little puzzle on my hands. while working on building some special line isolating/attenuator combo box/unit and collecting various parts, I've got that thing, which is a bridging transformer combined with couple componets as a small "block".... and i can't firure out what is the idea of such configuration. It was a part of some sort of audio-distribution/control system or something like that.
I am attaching diagram which I 've made based on the transformer's lable and connections with the components. Also I was searching any info on that model of transformer and could not find anything specific, also I can't be sure about lettering of the model. it could be: WST410 WST4IO or WST41O or WST4I0 ... so -
So, the main question is, what does this configuration looks like to you... meaning what purpose of this original design could be? What the heck .22uF cap is doing there? :D
I've done some simple test and I can tell that the cup kills low end instantly  .

Any ideas or thoughts?
I was thinking of using this transformer for bal/unbal option signal path...
well, that's my puzzle of the day.
here's the diagram (in red dots/numbers are available transformer's pins):

I am not a electrical exspert but I am thinking that maybe the cap is to keep the voltage from running away and to keep things at a constent.
Im sure someone can exsplain it better than I can.

ah, thanks, man  now, also, it would be great if I could understand what exactly do you mean by this :o :o :o :D

also, I screwed up the diagram a bit ...well, the circuit is correct, but the transformers pins were misplaced...
so I'm attaching the corrected one...
also on that block the "left" (as on diargram) terminals are marked as "LINE", while the pot was connected with a very short in length shielded lead with TR plug...
My thought was that the "LINE" could be balanced line "out" (ot "in") to (or from) somewhere....(let's say somewhere in the building), while the TR would go to, let's say preamp/mixer ??? output (or input)(let's say in control room)????

but again, to me it's unsolved puzzle... I can't sleep at night , damnt  :D

It could be for headphones or some line used for inserts into a dynamic processor
