NO....YOU Failed to hear MY repy to you, about adding some of my words to the lyrics.

I SAID...I don't think it needs any additional words.

Phil,

Here’s a quick headphone mix of the long version that you can listen to before I send the individual tracks. I tracked the 3rd and 4th verses tonight. The 1st and 2nd verses were recorded months ago and I didn’t think to write down which mic, pre, etc I used. I got it as close as I could.

Note: There's 10 seconds of silence at the beginning. That's how much time I need to get my act together. :D

I scooted out early today from the office cuz I have a 5 o'clock tee time. :)

I'm liking what I hear, Phil. I jammed with it a couple of times and I have a couple of small guitar parts that I might add.

I burned a disc and I'll be listening to it in the car on my way to the course.

Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks! It's wide open with soloing opportunities, which I'm not competent to address, but I plan to add a little strings and some extra hand percussion... I did not put your 2nd guitar part back; though I emulated parts of it in the keyboard part. I'll probably put part or all of it back as well. There's room in the arrangement for some density, I think...

Such a lovely, evocative tune... A pleasure to work on. It fits my sensibilities very well..

Technical note; you need to recalibrate your tuner, you were tuned to A437.5... :)

I can only attribute that to the cheap keyboard that I have. I tune up to it if I plan on recording piano etc. I'm not sure if I can calibrate it. :confused:

If I'm strictly recording guitar I use my guitar tuner and to be honest I did notice a difference when tuning up to the keyboard. :confused: Hmmmmm :confused:

I grabbed your mix and I tweaked it along with a couple of additional guitar parts.

I'm enjoying this immensely! :)

Phil,

I'm about an hour away from sending 2 new guitar tracks. I also edited the 2nd acoustic track (the one you left out ;) ) to make it fit better (I think).

Delete the one I had already sent.

I'll also post another mix so you can get an idea what I'm thinking.

When all is said and done I'm going to leave the final mix to you, however, I think my vocal (which isn't all that good to begin with) is a bit bass heavy now. You can do something about that, right? ;)

I hadn't swung a club since last September.

I played nine holes Friday and shot a rousing 58. :eek: :eek: :eek:

If there was a tree in sight, my ball ended up under it.

I also screwed up my back and my legs bothered me all weekend because I sat on my butt all winter. :D

Of course I can, thought I disagree with you a bit on that. I think maybe just pulled in a half dB might solve what you're perceiving, or just a touch wetter. Anyway, you'll be pleased with the final. I await your files! :)
