what kind of cables shuld I get for a good sound, someoine said if your cables arent good then it ruins your recording...what kind of mic cables for vocals and micing drums? and what kind of cables for cables from guitar/bass into the preamps?

pretty much all cables needed
and what kind of headphones?

I prefer Monster Cable (brand)
Little pricey but quality cable.

I would suggest searching this forum for "monster cable" and see what comes up. You will find the supposed pro's and con's of the cables as well as alternative choices.

In a nutshell, a lot of people don't think monster cable is all it's cracked up to be.

ive read that you'll recordings wont suffer until you start using junk cables from radioshack (http://www.hr-faq.org/mictheory.htm#II_3) so right now i'll think you will be fine without a monster cable.

I use Mogami and Canare for mic cables...

Stay away from Hosa crap....
