What do you guys use, or think is the best way to keep a whole bunch of cables together, I'm considering getting those tubes so they look like one fat cable together

Mine are all tied with 9 ply wax rope which is probably over the top for most folks. I would warn you not to run power cables with signal carrying cables or speaker cables for that matter. Keep them all well seperated as they can interfere with audio.

I prefer Velcro wraps. There will come more times than you want when you will have to trace a bad cable or a misconnection.

velcro and immagination

Ah yes, velcro, the greatest invention since duck tape!!! And for a really quick, temporary sort of thing a few clothespins will do in a pinch. See there it's true, nessissity is the mother of invention, and clutter is the father of innovation.

I made a bunch of vecro wraps and it works great. I previously used plastic "twisties" like you get with new gear (I had many cause I'm a gear slut). The twisties did the job, but were a pain to put on and off every time I swaped a cable, etc.

As already indicated, keet AC cables away from audio cables). Also if you plan to bundle cables - make sure you put a color code every x inches (I go about every foot). When you are trying to trace a cable it makes it soooooo much easier.

One thing I've done before is to tape some twist ties onto the bottom of my desk and such places.

Then I could run cables along, out of sight, and keep them all together, and it was easily detachable. I'd run things underneath, around the back, and run a single package up to the back of my interface.

That's a neat idea matta, I have plenty of cable ties already, but my 12 new cables came today at lengths of 6-10m so realising I have 100's of metres of cables, I'm going to get some velcro too I think
