Hi all. Brand new here and can't believe the amount of valuable info I have already found. Thank you. Anyway my question of the day deals with getting the buzz out of my system that is there from the cable bringing the wonderful 70 channels of garbage into the idiot box in front of me. Translated - I do post production, DV, and I guess I have created a ground loop by plugging my TV audio outs into my mixer. I also have VCR and Camcorder outs running into the mixer as well as a host of synths and mics when needed. Everything is quiet until I hook the cable into the back of the TV, then buzzzzzz. Any line conditioners available that take care of the problem or am I doomed to just unplug the cable if I have a critical session? Thanks in advance.....

It sounds lke you live in an apartment, say your prayers

Well, TV's aren't designed to be connected to mixers with loads of other equipment, so I can't say it's surprising...

Yeah, maybe you need to plug out the TV. Sometimes ground-loops dissapear if you switch polarity of the power. This iseasily done if your power connector is reversable, just turn it over. If it's not, I think you can by polarity switchers. Try that.
