my band is recording on a boss-352 digital recorder... our studio is small and concrete. should we face the amps away from the drums ( towards the walls) to avoid spillage?

I'd try to get them in a different room all together if possible. Failing that, I'd throw a couple of moving blankets over them to slow down leakage. The bass will be your biggest offender as it'll walk through just about anything. If possoble, go direct with that.

If you're recording live and your room is a small concrete box, if won't really matter where you point them. Could you run the rhythm in direct as a scratch track for the drummer, then re-do the gtr? I hate doing that, but it would keep the drums clean. You could move amps just outside of the room, place the amps in heavy cabinets to muffle sound, create baffles, etc. Otherwise, you'll have to deal with the bleed.
