"Vocal mic" What Would you do?

good question. both very good mics. for vocals i'd go with the c1. as just a general purpose mic. i'd go with the b3

I'm sorry, and yes this is off-topic somewhat, but to DJL - this is when you're at your best. A self-aware little comment like that and a constructive opinion. It would've also been cool if you had gone on to say something you'd prefer in that kind of range too. Honestly, I way prefer it to when you just reply with something like, "They're both shit, good luck". Hope that's ok, let's call off that fight, ya know I fight like a girl anyway :(;)

It's really best to try each one out.
While the C1 is a very good vocal mic IMHO, if you have sibilant tendencies,
you're probably better off with a B3 or B1 unless you're skilled at de-essing.

Chris

Well, for what it's worth, I'd keep saving a buy something else.

Something very "else" from a B1 or a C1.

But... "suppose" I or someone else thought both mics where crap... by your rules no one could say they didn't like a mic... and if that was so, what help would that be to those who would like to hear from both those who like and those who dislike a mic?

No no no .... I'm not laying any rules. I said your post was good, and funny. It would've also been totally fine to say that whilst you chose the C1 from these two, there were others you would recommend equally or more highly in that price range.

Reggaesoldier... I'm sure noisedude is sorry for hi-jacking your thread and will give you his answer to your question as soon as he is in a more helpful mood.

Clever boy, I already apologised and of course I'm sorry. And you know my mic list well enough to know that I don't have either of these mics.

Jeez. I try to give you a compliment and encourage you for being helpful and you STILL chuck shit in my face.

Listen to me! I'm telling you that posts like the one you made here are GOOD and everyone prefers both you and your advice when you're both helpful and funny. If you hadn't guessed yet, nobody finds your blinded line of anti-whatever postings helpful at all.

Point me to it. I know I'm not perfect but point me to the reason that all of a sudden you're thinking you hate me. What's your big problem?

And the fact that you claimed to have owned a C1 makes your statement about their cheap plastic mounts in that other thread look all the more imbecilic.

Maybe it was just another cheap plastic snipe at SP.

I don't hate you, nor do I have a problem with you, nor do I need you to correct my spelling, and I don't need you to tell me when I'm at by best or what I can or can't post... and my mother is dead, you sick puppy.

I knew you couldn't take criticism, but now you can't take compliments either. I feel that it's not me who's sick here, puppy.

I hope that you, Voxy Lady and mikE@THECAVE are all happy in that one head. Maybe you could let one of them visit us again sometime, it would be so much fun. I've seriously got better things to do than pander to your multiple conflicting egos. Learn how to recognise a tongue-in-cheek comment, some of us aren't so fragile that we can't take a joke.

What worries me the most is that, behind this 'DJL' tagline and this forum of typed data, there is a real person who is bizarre enough to come on here and do what you do.

Noisedude, I deleated my worthless post in this thread... you may want to do the same... and yes I remove the "mother" one after you deleate your wortless post.

Whatever. You're a weirdo. The other thread's gone and I will delete any comments here I don't stand by or which don't make sense cos you deleted yours.

NOTE: I removed all my post (except this one) from this thread because it just turned into a worthless pissing match.

Oh, and one last thing... I don't know "Voxy Lady and mikE@THECAVE".

How big of you. And of course you don't know the others, I don't know who half the voices in my head are either ;)

Have you ever posted on this bbs using a different name other than noisedude?

I wish Dragon would look at ISP numbers and tell us who is using double ID's.

Nope, noisedude is my online alias, you can find me on noisedude@hotmail.com. It's also my little 'imprint' on which I 'release' CDs for local bands who I help with their recordings. Nothing big time.

My real name is Nik Keefe, I'm a student in the city of Leeds, England. I played in a band called Macarion until recently and have done lots of solo acoustic stuff. I've been recording for about three years but at this stage know more about gear than I do about playing because I've spent so long on here. So my recordings ain't too great cos I've been neglecting my music.

In fact, I did once post under an alias on RP.com, I signed up as Mustafa Salaam and impersonated Q's terrorist as a joke. Naturally Slack banned me but we have communicated since to straighten it out. It was actually quite funny, Q thought so enough.

Anyhow, while we're being so open, why don't you tell us about you?

DJL tell us anything about himself!?

Yeah, THAT'S going to happen

We're talking about a guy who throws a hissy fit if you even try to get him to post a link to his music.
