The shock mounts do not make the grade, but I am assured by the folks from PMI that better replacements are forthcoming, and will be provided free of charge to anyone who has the originals.

Well we are still having issues with the mounts. It seems the factory somehow sent us the same mount to replace the ones we already have. The mounts are actually good, but in some cases, depending on the band, it pulls the clip open a bit and some mics can be a bit loose.

We are sorry for anyone out there that is still waiting or has issues with the clips. Funny thing is we have sold about 250 sets and have only had 4 or so complaints, but we are not happy with the mounts.

Again, I assure all of you that it will get resolved, unfortunately it will take a little time to get them done. So hopefully you will all allow us some time to get them remade and back into your hands.

Sometimes shit happens...but we deal with it...:)

Yeah, we're working on it. I think y'all *do* want to give these mics a listen. The conclusion here after our inital non-scientific listen here is- they are unique. In the way that you listen to certain favorite mics, they have a signature sound. Like a shot of German Scnoeps, it goes down smooth but has just enough color to let you know it's not vodka.
I am already beginning to bond a little with these things. I'm sorry it was too late to put them up for the current project, but even at the end, they made 2 cuts, one as overheads and one as specialty mics. We used them on wind chimes and they rocked.-Richie

Thanks for the review Richie. I've been waiting for information like this for quite a while.

Where did you buy them and at what price?

I echo the thanks Richie. I've been very curious about the C4's just because I've been looking for a good unflavored flavor to contrast with my mc012's. There are times when I like to do some cleaner folky or jazzy stuff and I really have to wrestle with eq'ing the Octava's to get the right drum sound. Now to find something else I can pawn or mortgage!

I bought them at Macmidimusic.com for $279-Richie

Well they're listed at 370 on macmidimusic.

Did you haggle or something? I don't understand how you haggle when there is not a lower price around. Any advice?

Ooops, I was in a hurry.- my bad typo-$379-Richie
